Boyd: Really nice, fancy with a lot of pictures. One TV with a bar. In the waiting area, there’s a round couch and it’s really fancy.
Kennedy: The interior was very nice and cozy — as if I was really in Italy. There are pictures and paintings engulfing the walls. While it is quite chilly, it got normal after being in it for a bit. There is a bar in the front of the room and past it are the tables and booths. The tables are set very nicely with silverware, condiments, and a lit candle. There is beautiful music in the background.
James: I didn’t know what to expect and was somewhat apprehensive going in, thinking that I might be somewhat under dressed, but found that the staff and patrons were somewhat casual. The bar is nice with seating for 6 to 10. I really like the tables with the red/white checkered table cloths. It appears much larger from the outside, but once inside you find it a bit more cozy with approx 20 tables.
Attendance
Boyd: Two thumbs up!
Kennedy: The service was spectacular. The employees were all very sweet and helpful, always coming by and asking us how were doing, what we need, etc.
James: Gianni, our server was excellent and the other staff did a great job of topping off our drinks and bread.
Chew
Boyd: Pizza with Canadian Bacon – Delicious and unique because it had a lot of the green stuff (seasoning). Canadian bacon is my favorite. The crust is pretty good.
Kennedy: The first bite of the Chicken Picatta overwhelmed my senses. It was such a gorgeous piece. It’s smell was unbelievable, I could not wait another second to dig in. The first bite of the chicken was like a warm, sunny day in a roller-coaster park. The pasta was like sitting comfortably on a patch of grass, watching the sun go down.
James: I had the Chicken Vincenzo, simply because I saw it being served to another patron. So glad I ventured this direction as I usually like to try the Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. The chicken was tinder and paired well with the garlic cream sauce and mushrooms. Simply delicious.
Endorsement
Boyd: I would recommend Bruno’s for kids who like pizza and pasta.
Kennedy: Duh! Of course I would recommend this place! Although Italian food contains many carbs, it’s taste is not even a little short of lasting flavor.
James: Highly recommend, as the food, service and ambiance were excellent. Till we meet again…… Oh, wait! I have leftovers!!!
Dinner at Bruno’s Little Italy
Overall we had a great time at Bruno’s Little Italy and can’t wait to return. I loved getting Kennedy and Boyd involved with this process. Helps them to see new things and then to express what they’ve taken in. Till our next foodie adventure!
Chewing with Dad
I’ve had the idea for Chewing with Dad for some time. Really was thinking of ways to become more interactive with Kennedy and Boyd and to help get us away from our phones while we are out. Want us to be able to enjoy each other’s company as we discuss our adventures. Then we write it all down. We’ve defined an outline (although, I know it may change over time) of what we want this blog to look like. The four main sections (Environment, Attendance, Chew and Endorsement) are discussed prior to getting where we are going, during the experience and afterwards. I’m really looking forward to this process! Who knew that Tip Top Chew would bring us closer as a family!
