Environment

Boyd:  Kinda cool with few old pictures on the wall.  Booths were nice.

 

James:  Fast casual with a 50’s vibe.  Red tables and chairs, white walls and vintage black and white photos all around.

Attendance 

Boyd:  This place was a loud as everyone yelled “Welcome to David’s Burgers” as we walked in the door.  I like things quieter.  The staff were good and brought us free fries and ice cream!

 

James:  Best service of any place I know, especially since it’s counter service!  From when you walk in the door to the resounding “Welcome to David’s” to when you walk out the door.  The staff are so friendly and they are constantly bringing around extra fries, offering to get refills of your drink and making sure we all got some ice cream before we left.

Chew

 

Boyd:  The meat on my burger was I little bit bigger than the bun, which is not what you get at other places (fast food).  My cheeseburger with ketchup was good.  The fries were good.

 

James:  Old school burger with American cheese.  Cooked on a flat top grill and slightly greasy.  Thinner patty and crispy on the edges and the cheese melted just enough to soak into the crevasses.  Whatever grease was left, soaked right into the bun.  Ooh so good!  Fries?  Well, personally I think the fries at David’s are the best around.  Love the thick cut fries with salt and ketchup!

Chewing with Dad

I’ve had the idea for Chewing with Dad for some time.  Really was thinking of ways to become more interactive with Kennedy and Boyd and to help get us away from our phones while we are out.  Want us to be able to enjoy each other’s company as we discuss our adventures.  Then we write it all down.  We’ve defined an outline (although, I know it may change over time) of what we want this blog to look like.  The four main sections (Environment, Attendance, Chew and Endorsement) are discussed prior to getting where we are going, during the experience and afterwards.  I’m really looking forward to this process!  Who knew that Tip Top Chew would bring us closer as a family!
