Throwback Thursday: October 2015

 Tip Top Chew

Throwback Thursday:  October 2015

So in honor of hitting 1000 Likes on Facebook, I thought I’d do a little something different for the blog.  Basically, it’s just a look back over time in the life of Tip Top Chew, thru our Facebook Page, where it all began.

I always enjoy looking back to see what all has changed.  Some places are still awesome as ever and some are now no longer with us.

I hope you all enjoy.

So, Tip Top Chew all started on this date as I imagined it would be a fun hobby and as a way to get my food pictures off of my personal page.  Amazing enough, there are some out there that don’t like photographs of your dinner!

Not sure of this picture as it made it to my Cover Photo on Day 1.  I think it is a taco from a place in south Mississippi called Jacks on the Tracks, but not 100% sure.

Ahh, Izzy’s.  I loved going there as I lived and worked about a mile away.  Always great for lunch, dinner, or a casual date.  Yes, the chili is delightful!

This was a work lunch with a couple of co-workers.  Interesting enough, it was the first and last time I made it to Canon Grill.  Nothing wrong and I remember thinking how good this taco was but just haven’t made it back.  So many restaurants, but I do need to get back there someday soon.

Heights Taco & Tamale!  I don’t make it here as often as I should.  Never had a bad meal here and the cocktails and service have always been excellent!

Well, that’s all for my first Throwback Thursday.  I hope you enjoy it and come back for more!

Tip Top Chew

Hi!  I’m James, single dad of two awesome kids (Kennedy and Boyd), who sometimes join me in my journey of finding great places to dine.  I started Tip Top Chew as a hobby on Facebook back in 2015 and Instagram in early 2018.  It’s something I enjoy, even though others occasionally make fun of me when I break out the camera to take pictures of our food!  🙂

My goal with this blog is to be able to share a bit more of my creative side while growing stronger relationships with my kids as we venture out and share together.  We’re starting a segment called Chewing with Dad in the hopes to get away from our phones and enjoy each other’s company a little more.  We discuss our adventures, then we write it all down and hopefully it turns into something worth reading.  I’m really looking forward to this process!
