200 Higdon Ferry Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913

Located in Hot Springs on the corner of Higdon Ferry and Alpine St., just across the street from Oaklawn Racing and Gaming.

Environment

Great atmosphere with a nice bar and plenty of dining space.  Bar has several televisions and at this time of year, the horse races are alive and well.  Seating area is somewhat modern with lots of references to eating tacos!  Love the Day of the Dead skulls.

Attendance

The staff were friendly and answered all of our questions.  They kept the glasses full and the food came out quick.

Chew

Still not sure what these were!  Fried little pinwheels that almost melted on your tongue.  Quite tasty with some Mexican dipping sauce that tasted very much like a spicy A1.

Esquite – Mexican Street Corn Off The Cobb

This was so good.  I’m ready for more!

Chilaquiles – Sauteed Corn Chips in Salsa Verde, Scrambled Eggs, Chorizo, Crema, Tomato, Lettuce and Avocado

From their Sunday Brunch Menu.  Simply Delicious

Can you go wrong with tacos?  🙂

Pork Belly – Grilled Pork Belly with Pickled Red Onions

Baja – Fried Red Snapper, Habanero Mayo and Mango Jicama Slaw

Diablo Shrimp – Fried Shrimp tossed in Habanero Mayo and Mango Jicama Slaw

OH MY!!!

Churros – Bavarian Cream, Strawberry and Dulce De Leche with Vanilla Ice Cream

Endorsement

Seeing a lot of post about Capo’s on Social Media and have been itching to make it over to Hot Springs for a taste.  So glad we did!  Everything was delicious and the Churros are so worth the trip on their own.  Just like their menu states, ‘Tacos At Another Level’ definitely has me headed back soon.

Tip Top Chew

Hi!  I’m James, single dad of two awesome kids (Kennedy and Boyd), who sometimes join me in my journey of finding great places to dine.  I started Tip Top Chew as a hobby on Facebook back in 2015 and Instagram in early 2018.  It’s something I enjoy, even though others occasionally make fun of me when I break out the camera to take pictures of our food!  🙂

My goal with this blog, is to be able to share a bit more of my creative side while growing stronger relationships with my kids as we venture out and share together.  We’re starting a segment called Chewing with Dad in the hopes to get away from our phones and enjoy each other’s company a little more.  We discuss our adventures, then we write it all down and hopefully it turns into something worth reading.  I’m really looking forward to this process!
